The Lake Group was organized in 1974 by Raymond Burett and Robert Plimack (Bob retired in 2009. He continues to consult with our life insurance clients) to provide consultation, administration and products for a broad spectrum of employee programs. As our clients have presented a vast array of risk management problems and issues we have successfully provided expert and unique solutions.

Prior to founding The Lake Group, Raymond Burett held Executive positions with Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company and The Wyatt Company working with high profile, industrial clients.

Ray worked to revise employee health and retirement plans and implemented cost containment methods for AT&T, General Motors, Westinghouse, Lipton, Barnes and Noble Bookstores among other Fortune 500 companies. His mathematical outlook as an actuary and industry management partner gives him a rare perspective on business evolution.

Today the practice continues to provide innovative solutions to a broad array of clients.
